The Aspinall Foundation

Oak Creative have designed an array of advertising for The Aspinall Foundation, Howletts and Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve over the years. It is fast becoming high end authentic safari experience. We love working with their fantastic imagery of beautiful animals and their stunning setting in Kent.

Since the development of their new branding in 2018, the design of their marketing is sleek and sophisticated. Oak Creative designed a Style Guide which details the specific fonts, layouts and styles which should always be followed. It’s essential to lay down some ground rules for your brand, to make sure it always looks it’s very best.

See below some of the latest advertising we’ve designed for them.

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve

Port Lympne Reserve is fast becoming a true safari experience, in Kent.  Oak Creative work with the Port Lympne Short Breaks team, producing advertising creative to entice visitors to stay the night in the Kentish Savannah. Short Breaks is a separate entity to Port Lympne itself, therefore Short Breaks has it’s own brand identity.  Appealing to those who love to travel, the brand is all about the multi sensory experience of sleeping and waking up so close to the wild animals.

There is a selection of accommodation situated within the park, from glamping or safari tents, to a luxury 5 star manor house hotel, or even a lodge which is set within the Tiger Closure.  Wherever guests stay, they wake up knowing the animals are just outside the door.  It’s a truly unique and enthralling experience.

Babydoll’s Identity

Babydoll’s is an Italian pizza restaurant, nestled in the depths of the Port Lympne Reserve.  It is one of several stand alone restaurants within Port Lympne, suitable for both day visitors or overnight guests staying in one of many of the parks accommodation options.

Oak Creative helped to establish the restaurant’s identity as a pizzeria, with emphasis on creating a rustic and informal yet chic ambience.  We developed the brands style, colours, logo and fonts.

The logo illustration is a key part of the restaurant’s identity.  Babydoll is in fact one of Howlett’s (sister park to Port Lympne) most beloved gorillas, so she had to be the face of the restaurant.

Dinosaur Forest

If you’re local to Kent, you may know that there is a large herd of dinosaurs at Port Lympne Reserve.

In the run up to the opening, Oak Creative worked closely with Port Lympne to prepare the Dinosaur Forest experience for visitors. The attraction needed a complete new identity, signage and advertising. The entire customer journey was considered to make sure this new spectacular was delivered with maximum impact!

Howletts is the original park which forms part of the Aspinall Foundation.

Alongside the variety of advertisements we assist with, we recently completed work on their Animals of the Ice Age exhibition. This consisted of signage, advertising, as well as the children workbook.

As you explore a forgotten land, you’ll marvel at the life size prehistoric creatures taking over the Woodland Walk.  Wonder at the mighty mammoth, stare at the savage sabre toothed Smilodon and delight at the sheer size of the giant sloth, plus many more. This outdoor exhibition is the coolest thing in Canterbury, so be sure to visit if you are in the area.

Howletts and Port Lympne have worked with Oak Creative for over four years, which speaks volumes in itself. The team always provides a creative, professional and reliable service at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend their services.
